Hey Reader, If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably bought your fair share of “must-have” puppy toys… ropes, squeakers, tennis balls, plush animals, you name it. You bring them home, expecting your puppy to lose their mind over the new squeaky duck… and instead, they run right past it to chew on your shoelace. Here’s the thing your puppy isn’t telling you… Their favorite toy isn’t the one with the loudest squeak or the fanciest packaging. It’s you. Your voice. Sure, toys are fun. That’s also why here, before our puppies ever leave for their forever homes, we build their world around meaningful interaction. We don’t just hand them a pile of toys and call it enrichment. By the time they go home, they’ve learned that humans are safe, fun, and worth trusting. And that’s the real “toy” they’ll carry with them forever… the bond. TRUTH BOMB: You don’t need to be a professional trainer to keep that bond growing. You just need to be present. Five minutes of fetch before dinner. A few training reps while you’re watching TV. Letting them curl up next to you while you answer emails. It’s the together part that matters most. So, yes → keep the squeaky duck. But remember that you are, and always will be, their favorite. ALSO, in case you didn’t know… PUPPIES ARE COMING! & you DEFINITELY want to get on the wait list because these Golden babies will not last! Click here to fill out the app! Dindy & Ken |

Hey Reader, Goldens are known for a lot of things… their loyalty, their big goofy grins, their endless love for fetch. But there’s one thing they don’t get enough credit for: their nose. Your Golden’s sense of smell is insane. We’re talking up to 100,000 times more powerful than yours. While you catch a whiff of dinner cooking, they smell every single ingredient, the pan you used, and maybe even what you had for lunch yesterday. That nose isn’t just for sniffing out snacks… it’s the key to...
Hey Reader, Not every breeder talks about this part of the process… but we do, because it matters. When a Fox Ridge puppy is born, we’re not just raising them. We’re learning them. We watch how they interact with littermates. We notice who’s bold, who’s more reserved, who loves a lap, who thrives in play.We take note of their confidence, sensitivity, and the way they move through the world. It’s what we call the “puppy interview.”And while it’s not a test or a scorecard, it’s our way of...
Reader, There’s a reason puppy owners joke about living with a “land shark.” One minute your Golden is sweet and cuddly, the next they’re coming at you with teeth sharp enough to pierce through jeans. It feels personal… but it’s not. It’s just biology. Teething is one of the messiest, most misunderstood phases of puppyhood. And if you don’t know what’s normal, and what’s not, you’ll spend those months frustrated, covered in bite marks, and wondering if you adopted a Golden or a piranha. Here’s...
